GREAT ADVENTURES IN NURSING

A career book, unique in the technical material it imparts and the generally high quality of its prose, this volume is divided into three categories: a general section on adventures in the hospital which includes incidents involving nurse's aides, nurses and supervisors; a section on nurses-men and women- who went into hardship or backward areas; a section on war nursing. Some of the stories are written by well known authors--Quentin Reynolds; some are autobiographical--Sister Kenny, Princess Ileana; but all are interesting and informative. A prologue by Victor Robinson and The Florence Nightingale Pledge initiate the anthology. A good choice for potential nurses or for those who enjoy depictions of intense and human episodes.
