A short short which might have done better as a magazine article reviews the ills which beset the industry after it peaked in the mid '40's: namely monopolistic theater-chain practices; the witch-hunts; television (Hollywood was very slow to recognize the benefits which would come some 20 years later); Cinerama and wide-screened developments; the other big ones following that monstrous mistake, Skouras' Cleopatra; the rise of agency entreprenage and independents. That's about it -- a re-run of phases we all know with faces, facts and titles. . . and a few photographs. About as useful as that ticket stub you find in your pocket, a week later.
