Explicitly defined, this is a handbook to every country and all the adjacent islands (some 62) on the African continent, for the tourist, the businessman or the official planning a trip. It does not include background material, information about sites (though there are occasional points of interest), restaurants, or data obtainable at hotel desks or travel agencies. Country by country, this lists the approaches, hotels, and places to secure information, and format-wise (judging by the print) one may assume it will be as compact as information-wise it is concise.
