THE NANNY GOAT AND THE FIERCE DOG

A minimal story about a little nanny goat who lives in a junkyard with some chickens and fears the fierce watchdog behind the fence, but who after a year of swiftly passing seasons butts the dog away and never fears him or anything again. It's all in the pictures and the pictures--bold blue and green prints--are all design, taking on a scary luminosity to suit the abandoned junkyard setting and the confrontation with the dog but generally too sophisticated for the story and without the involving personal appeal necessary at this level.
