KIRKUS REVIEW

Another devotional and inspirational anthology from the prolific Mr. Wallis, this time illustrated with black and white photographs of the Holy Land. Each section celebrating a locality associated with the life and passion of Jesus, and the mission of the Church, is introduced by appropriate scripture and meditation. Then follow selections from poetry, prayers, sermons and other contemplative writings. Literary excellence has not been a criterion here, although, there are excerpts from better poets and theologians. Most of the selections have a sentimental, nineteenth century posture and tone. Mr. Wallis' meditations reflect, a traditional evangelical approach to the message of Redemption.
