KIRKUS REVIEW

Kilgerrin, durable detective of The Fanatic of Fes, etc., is sent back to North Africa to investigate the sabotage of American material. Bucking the hostility of all officers and officials, Kilgerrin links up with the little known, much feared, Lassiter, approaches the question of Nazi penetration and Arab agitation through two murders which occur, and in identifying the murderer, gets his angle on the whole assignment. Sardonic, sanguine entertainment which is good.
