KIRKUS REVIEW

I have found Lee's How to Enjoy Reading, published last year, very useful. Now comes this one, quite a different book, entertaining more as a pick-up book than a book to study and use as a reference. Literary chit chat, appropriate bits of unhackneyed verse, bon mots of literature, erudite bits which should serve as opening wedges to more than titbits. A literary sampler, stimulating but not profound. Arranged in round the year pattern, with literary games for each month. Remember Authors in your youth? Well, here's a modern substitute.
