THE MIERNIK DOSSIER

A varied and personable batch of agents, most of whom take cover within the WRO (a ""social research"" branch of the U.N.), clusters around the dilemma of the apparently hapless and sincerely mournful Pole, Miernik, who is about to be recalled from his WRO post. With a guerrilla terrorist uprising in the Sudan underway, possibly with Soviet help, Miernik's mysterious suspension, coupled with a rash of communications and bizarre behavior, arouses suspicions. The international companions and bedmates who are left wondering was he or wasn't he include an imposing Sudanese Prince, American and British operators, Miernik's charming sister, a busy nympho, and misty others. More leisurely than most -- but attractive.
