KIRKUS REVIEW

Factual but highly informal picture of aviation training, from cadet days to various schools, to flight, to action. Bomber crews in the making as well as ground crews and the variation and importance of their work. With a typical boy, Chick, and his girl, Pudge, to carry the personal touch, the letters and articles on all aspects of Flying Fortress personnel, discipline and close knit teamwork and fellowship, gives a graphic portrait of the Air Force ideals and achievements. A nice job, covering a wider range than the Steinbeck book.
