ORIMHA OF THE MOHAWKS

The amazing experiences of Pierre Radisson, based on his own written account, is here recorded in documentary fashion to thrill and chill the reader. Pierre, a young Frenchman from the settlement of Three Rivers in Canada, was captured by the Iroquois, but because of bravery in battle and his ability to withstand torture, his life is spared and he is initiated into the tribe as Orimha. His escape and recapture, his adjustment to the life of an Indian brave, the savagery he witnessed and became party to, and his final successful escape to his former life, comprise an incredible story. Graphic descriptions of torture make for arduous if realistic reading.
