THE TASTE OF INFAMY

Across the border to Texas, the feudal Mexican De Gorios conducts his raids and when John Killane's brother is killed and his land burnt out, he is inflexible and implacable in his desire to secure reparations. Killane hooks up with some other Texans and the Mexican Favio with his Penitentes, heads the organized robbery of De Gorios' bank, takes back what is his, but in the bloodstained aftermath learns that revenge cannot be bought in currency and that there is still a price to be paid...The author of The Hell Bent Kid is a literary maverick in this genre and has a classic touch with violence.
