This seems more nearly to approach a dispassionate, thoroughly fair, and yet severely analytical approach to the achievements of the Administration, than anything I have read. Point by point is discussed -- the ideal, the development, the wrong turns and the right, the future possibilities. The budget, currency and taxation, foreign policy, natural resources, government and business, banking, credit and securities, labor and industry, social security, the Supreme Court and the Constitution, relief, the spoils system -- these are the broader subjects covered, with interrelated topics. The viewpoint is that of the young liberal Republican, the handling is devoid of the hysterical, destructive criticism too ready to the pen of the average political opponent. Good sound political groundwork for the average citizen.
