FRENCH FAIRY TALES

Louis Untermoyer has chosen five of the classic Perrault tales for retelling, tales that combine his peculiar qualities, adventure, action, terror and laughter: -- Puss in Boots, Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, Hop-o'-my-Thumb, and The Fairy. The Dore' drawings, we feel, are not appropriate for children who are conditioned to better work, but may have some nostalgic value for adults, who may have met them in old editions of Perrault.
