DEATH IN THE SUN

The owners, guests and company of Seventy Seven Palms, in the Colorado desert, combine to razzledazzle the law when two murders put them in the spotlight. Ingenious subterfuges resorted to --sometimes successful, sometimes not, but the final payoff puts them all in the clear. Combines G-man, opera company, Indians, fortune teller, romance, drinking, defaced corpse, mystery man, innocent suspect, et al. in such a fast pace that the reader has no chance to pause for thought... Entertaining, but not Grade A.
