KIRKUS REVIEW

The photographs will fascinate many who, like myself, haven't a glimmer of an idea about what the theory of smoke streams really means. Aerodynamics includes such subjects as lift, drag, high-lift devices, downwash, tip losses. Wind tunnels have made a great contribution to testing these factors. This book shows, in photographs and text what happens to air in motion over a wing at various angles of attack, and where and why and when the wing stalls. These are stills of the motion pictures.
