ESSENTIALS OF MANAGEMENT FOR SUPERVISORS

By

Pub Date: July 9th, 1947
Publisher: Harper

The author indicates and proves the value of good supervision in the development of efficient management. He shows how people can learn to work together through information, instruction, understanding and co-operation. He explains how our business system functions, management's part in seeing that our economy produces efficiently and the part that supervision plays in developing and maintaining morale, increasing production and earning capacity. Not a profound book nor is there much that is new; it contains much that should help develop capable supervisors... In substance the book does not measure up to the new Halsey book, in an allied field, Handbook of Personnel Management (also Harper- see report P. 251).
