Our candidate for the season's worse title -- this is actually a collection of biographical sketches of some American poets:-Bryant, Emerson, Poe, Longfellow, Whittier, Whitman, Dickinson, Lanier, Robinson, Masters, Frost, Lowell, Sandburg, Lindsay, Fletcher, Millay and enet. Slight in substance, but fairly vivid in handling, and so planned that representative poems are made a part of the biographical sequence. Charlie May Simon is a better story teller than biographer.
