COOKING WITH STYLE

It is hard to find a cookbook that varies sufficiently from the norm to isolate for special attention. Charlotte Adams' Cooking with Style does, and is adequately summed up by its subtitle: ""Elegant Recipes and Menus for Exciting Entertainment."" She follows the prescribed cookbook order but within it uses originality of presentation and selection. The collection is slanted to the gourmet, international in flavor, but with a bow to familiar mores. For example, corn pudding appears with trimmings but the standard Southern recipe is also in attendance.
