Nice going, in another pleasant romance-adventure tale by the author of Sombrero for Miss Brown, using again the Mexican background, this time for a double treasure search and a spot of Nazi espionage. The murder of a young Austrian, hunting his family's jewels, and working against the Nazis, sets old Senora Chateney on the trail, and using helpers to hand, a pair of lovers, very much at odds, a young maid, a night watchman, a vaudeville ex-star, and sets the stage for a ghostly scaring. Touch of melodrama, mystery and plenty of local color in Mexican places and legends.
