KIRKUS REVIEW

Nine and ten year olds will like this simple ""daily living"" story with the unusual background of a house on the Willamette River in the Northwest. A houseboat was a new sort of home for Davy, and he found lots of new things to learn, new friends to make. But he wanted above all to go on down the river to the Columbia and the Pacific. He got his chance when the Pet Show awards were named- but lost it when the pet duck flew away. And then Flipper, the seal that came to visit them, saved the day. Nice feel and unusual setting.
