KIRKUS REVIEW

Another in the Three Little Steps' series. A small square book with colored pictures and brief captions unfolding an everyday adventure for this family of three lively children. When their new pet, a canary bird, flies away, the children apply to all their neighborhood friends, the policeman, the grocer, and so on, to help find him. They finally discover him, singing joyously, in the barbershop. The story is full of the spontaneous excitement and eager impatience and pride of possession instinctive in small children, and will find an interested audience. Added value for beginning readers.
