ARMS FOR ADONIS

An Arabian nightmare leads Sarah Smith, a rather flighty English girl, from a casual affair to a coincidental involvement in middle-Eastern terrorism when she tries to save the life of a Syrian agitator, Colonel Raschid. A letter from the presumably dead man leaves her with a mission to complete; she is helped, betrayed, kidnapped; and she finally finds her sheik alive and ready to offer more than gratitude. A touchy background of polyglot politics provides some touch and go action and some pretty skittish situations- without any of the sinister superiority of her earlier books.
