KIRKUS REVIEW

An exciting historical novel of the 18th century, this makes absorbing reading for both boys and girls. The locale is Vienna, Turkey and Paris, the theme is the abortive revolt of Hungary against the dominion of Austria. A young Polish girl aids Giorgio Rakoczy to escape from his foster home in Vienna so that he may eventually lead an army to right the wrongs of his country. The story is replete with adventure and romance. Characters well-drawn from history. A good yarn with the additional spice of truth.
