One has to be a specialist in cook books to go for this one --or else a collector of random items about the great and near great, in the field of music. Artists are gourm, and found is a hobby with most of them. These are the popular dishes of the artists' homelands, or recipes collected in their travels round the world. One aspect that may appeal to others more than it does to me is the suggestion of dinner music (recordings suggested as appropriate with certain dishes). Alphabetical arrangement of artists, with inclusion of letters, personal notes, biographical items -- and chosen recipes. Most of them rank among the luxury dishes. The last section takes members of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and their tastes.
