KIRKUS REVIEW

Red-headed Kiki has won many friends in a series of picture story books, as she skates, dances, goes to camp, etc. This seems a younger Kiki, at the stage when her attempts to make music (by singing, or playing on a comb, or tapping on her glass, or experimenting with nursery instruments) are hailed by her father as ""What a noise."" But when a piano comes, she finds that using all ten fingers takes more than wishful thinking, and it is a triumph when she learns to play her first tune, on her daddy's birthday. A successful use -- up to a point -- of important material.
