AROUND THE WORLD WITH THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS

This summer in Europe one saw everywhere tremendous posters picturing the huge Negro basketball player,""Goose"" Tatum, and advertising the coming of the Harlem Globetrotters. What were they doing in Venice, in Rome, in Paris? Well, here is the incredible story of the unbeatable team and their fantastic owner and coach, Abe Saperstein. Here is the greatest team of all times. They've played in villages, towns, and large cities throughout the Western Hemisphere, over much of Europe and Asia as well. They've been our best ambassadors of goodwill. Not only are they great athletes but clowns and zanies who can make people laugh at their antics and cheer at their skill. The coach may seem a Damon Runyon character, but he emerges from these pages as a straight shooter, an honest pro. Diplomats could learn from this. And basketball fans will love it.
