KIRKUS REVIEW

A favorite activity for California tourists -- and the natives do it too -- following the missions which were settled on a trail approximately a day's journey apart, by donkey that is, The paintings here have a muddy cast (and no sky, thank heaven, ever looked like Bonestell's), but the text is intelligent and informative and the book is an agreeable souvenir.
