READ TO YOURSELF STORY BOOK

The latest of the Child Study Association's collections (Holiday Storybook- 1952, and Read-To-Me Storybook, 1947) is geared to give the best selections from American juvenile writing to this age group as it acquires the fascination of reading. The authors included, Leo Politi, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Le Grand, Carolyn Haywood, Beverly Cleary- to mention a few, are represented with stories about their favorite characters- Little Leo, Laura herself, blustery Cap'n Dow from Maine, Eddie, and that love of a bad boy Henry incomplete without his dog Ribsy. A wealth of happy hours here.
