HUMAN BEHAVIOR IN ORGANIZATION by Chris Argyris

HUMAN BEHAVIOR IN ORGANIZATION

By

Pub Date: Oct. 30th, 1957
Publisher: Harper

Author and publisher join in designating this book ""for advanced undergraduates and beginning graduate students"" interested in the behavioral sciences such as psychology, sociology and political science. This reader feels it has a wider market, for it is a goldmine of facts and ideas for management in industry-concerned with how human beings think and function in their relationship to other human beings in and out of organization. The author continuously quotes from books and sources that agree with each other and as often disagree, presenting divergent points of view. In this way he shows the need existing for further study in the behavioral sciences, both in the classroom and in organization. Here is an excellent springboard to that study. It asks a good deal of the reader, who may get lost now and then in the stream of words and ideas, but who will find himself rewarded if he stays by with patience and persistence. The author is associate professor of industrial administration at Yale.
