If you have nervous qualms about feeding a two months old infant a broth in which a leek and a few lettuce leaves are present, or balk at presenting yogurt and strained apple at four months, more surprising vistas lie ahead. Buoyed by the information and support of French pediatricians, nursery teachers and psychologists, the author presents menus for tiny tots (even Camembert) designed to grow a nation of gourmets. With side excursions into special problems and cases, the author reinforces her thesis, namely adventurous food appropriate in nutrition. A specialty item, a rebuke to peanut butter.
