Primarily this deals with the impervious John Grayson, an ""invert,"" hired by a man called Tramper to dispose of a rightist demagogue following the elimination of two or is it three members of his own homosexual clique although his former (one of the casualties) friend Michael has been seduced into marriage and he too spends consoling hours with his widow. Except for an occasional touch which would be fatuous in any gender (Grayson kissing the hairs left behind in Michael's hairbrush) -- a suave performance with many quick changes and lots of last minute excitement.
