KIRKUS REVIEW

Britisher Rowlandson, traveling in the Bavarian mountains, witnesses a murder and is asked to assume the identity of the dead man to smoke out the members of a Nazi organization. Captivated by the lovely, lethal Mia, captured and imprisoned too, he escapes to probe an ancient myth and find the deadly parallel in a reincarnation and a resurgent menages. The politics are more plausible than the strange bedfellows they make (Rowlandson and Mia) and the plot which runs wild.
