This entry in the Razzle Dazzle series (which covers Numbers, Shapes, and Opposites as well) may show that all that glitters is not necessarily captivating. Every page shows traditional objects associated with a specific color: a red strawberry, a yellow duck, a blue sky. A few of the items are less standard: A pink eraser and blue jeans are among the more novel choices. One picture on each page is backed with tinsel paper, e.g., the red truck looks as if it has a metallic paint job. Babies may enjoy the ``multimedia'' experience—the paper is not only glittery-looking, but slick to the touch and makes a crinkling noise when poked. Otherwise, the book is a little short of a complete rainbow. (Board book. 3-6)
