This is a good way to learn geography and to acquire a sense of familiarity with the wide reaches of Canada, our nearest neighbor across the northern border. For here is a collection of short stories, in locale marching across from Nova Scotia on the east, to the Rookies and the Arctic circle on the west and north. In between one learns something of the farmlands near Toronto, of the wheat country, the range country and Calgary, the Canadian Rookies, the timberlands, the remote northland being brought closer with planes. Good stories, reflecting the life and types of people in successive districts.
