GLENN LEARNS TO READ

In simple sentences, the co-authors follow their son's progress as he learns to read. Looking at pictures, hearing sounds and listening to bedtime stories all increased the six year old's desire to read. The authors have attempted to show that it takes a long time to learn to read. They have succeeded, but it is doubtful that the unartistically placed, mediocre black and white photographs-- many close-ups of Glenn-- and the sparkless text will not be enjoyable for Glenn's contemporaries.
