No gray matter wearier, this romance of the regeneration of Ogden Pieter Van Steel, who, drunkenly celebrating, witnesses a murder, and is himself stripped of his identity (plus clothing, money et al). A red-head from the wrong side of the tracks, a truckman and his grandmother combine to set him right. Once started on thinking and acting on his own, he wins out to a solid position in the town, and sticks with his new friends instead of taking up his old position in New York. Part inspiration, patriotism, pollyanna, plot and primer-pleasantness, that wont shock anybody.
