KIRKUS REVIEW

Pleasantly dependable Kolland in a tale of treasure hunting on Long Island. Veterans Bill and John, in old records find clues to lawless buried treasure on John's family property, find also that they are under suspicion of newcomers to the town. The girl involved needles Bill mercilessly; the twins maintain icy politeness and deadly threats, Hartman is killed and Bill and the Count wait for the day when they can match strength. Bill finds another modern treasure- and at long last Jane gets her man.... Easily digested, laconic yarning. Rentals largely.
