THE BRIDE LAUGHED ONCE

Snowqueen Lodge, in northern New York, harbors a handful of guests, all prospects for ""Guilty"" when murder comes. Death of a playboy is linked to a cuckold husband, a suspicious skimaster, a jilted mistress, the lodge's owner, an ex-step-mother and her current husband, a stepbrother, recently met. A mining deal and F.B.I. intervention, complicate things, but Dr. Noble, honorary police consultant and medico-sleuth straightens out angles and tangles and snipes at an original method of killing, blasts his prey. Almost more than your money's worth -- but ingenious.
