In this volume there is contained a series of sermons by the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh, well known as an able and vigorous protagonist of the orthodox evangelical position. This is a good example of conservative preaching at its best, although one needs the visible presence of this preacher's strong personality to feel the dynamic power which he wields.
