As in the case of Obash -- I liked this story in spite of myself. Jimjo was a young elephant, Jipee, his inseparable companion, a monkey. Both lived in the jungle, but were captured, with ease, for a circus, when a tame elephant told them about the good food and easy berth. There was no disillusion, and circus life turned out to be fascinating to them. This is the story of the training and the life, very sketchy and superficial but with enough incident and authenticity to carry.
