Aimed for the novice angler as a practical book, and for the old hand as a record of memorable fishing moments, this account of the Pacific Coast freshwater gamefish, the steelhead, holds much information on and many enthusiastic accounts of furious battles with the thought, capable fighting trout. Divided into summer and winter approaches to the sport, the sections cover tackle, techniques, methods of capturing the wily antagonist, and are filled with minute by minute battles that the serious angler can appreciate. There is experienced discussion of the different rivers, streams, pools and riffles and their importance in steelhead fishing, and an appendix listing the California, Oregon and Washington streams where they can be found. The fishing fraternity will certainly enjoy this specialty book.
