This book carries on, simply overlapping in Haiti, Porto Rico and Mexico, and taking the air passenger on down to Brazil -- down the east coast of South America, up the west coast. Sprightly, informative (indirect facts without rules), personal details, informal. There's a good deal of casual travel data, not of the philosophic genre. And there's plenty of human interest material, by the way. Sell definitely as a travel book to anyone planning to take the South American trip, from whatever angle. Dependable when it comes to advice on hotels, routes, etc.
