FATE CRIES OUT

Eight short stories, primarily historical in flavor and background. Ann Boleyn reviews her past before she goes to the block; Queen Vashti and Queen Esther exchange stories; Queen Mathilda gives the pretender Stephen reason for abandoning his claim to the throne; Queen Anne frees herself from the Duchess of Marlborough ; and some grown-up adaptations of Grimm's Fairy Tales. Good reading, and quite unique in background.
