KIRKUS REVIEW

There is a lot of good material in this for anyone interested in the practical application of the study to public speaking, to writing, to the use of the English language for selling, for business, for enrichment of life. He gives ten sound rules, stressing individuality, strategy, tact, emphasis, simplicity, warmth, wit, and selectivity. He urges building an increasing vocabulary, and shows how words have helped towards success in politics, in business, in life generally. A book of practical value, rather than a book of interest to students of words.
