KIRKUS REVIEW

Jeff Temple, doctor turned free lance saddle bum, returns to his old town Wardrun Creek to help a good friend, Ramon Montez, jailed for the alleged looting of a railroad car. Jeff gets mixed up in a feud between the Zulus (the settlers) and the cattlemen. He finds out that a guy named Hammond is running both ends of the war in order to prod Teddy Roosevelt into suitable government action, one which would avail to Hammond a rich copper mine. Extremely dull.
