RIDE THE WIDE TRAIL

Steve Santee returns to the Powderhorn country with $13,000 in cash and a resolve to clear his father's name and prove his death- not defection. A train holdup divests him of his money but not his resolve, and a special duty U.S. Marshal Clum recruits him to help bring the Latzo brothers, gamblers, to book. Clum is killed, so again Steve is alone (and under further suspicion) when he closes the case with his gun. Standardized but spirited all the way.
