Here again, the inventor of The Marvelous Inventions of Alvin Ferald (1960, p.50, J-18) is now Secret Agent 21-, interested mainly in the problems of codes. Alvin and friend Shoie, draped in the ""trappings"" of spies, race around energetically and enthusiastically, trying to avoid Alvin's ""high-pitched echo""-- Al's sister, while they get to their business. A fast moving, comical plot (buried treasure to boot) about real boys who speak in boys' language-- it's certain to cause an increase in the number of amateur agents across the country.
