A BABY IS BORN

The subject of sex education is so much a matter of the individual child and adult, that this book- though specifically designed for children from six to ten -- should be read with the child, as the specific questions come up. To some adults who prefer a devious approach, this may seem over-frank in explanation of where babies come from, how they are born, how they grow. The transition from animals to humans is made without much discussion and the how-and-why of human mating is stated simply and plainly. This is intended for younger children than the authors' earlier The Wonder of Life. Experience in connection with the City and Country School and the Bank Street schools in New York, has provided the basis of the method used in this book.
