THE GIANT SNAKES

A companion piece to The Reptile World, this deals extensively with the six largest living snakes, their biology, eating, sleeping and mating habits. The author writes with real affection for his subject and one of the most charming parts of the book is devoted to Sylvia, an Indian python pet whose domesticity will surprise many. Unexpected and enlightening material that may dispel a host of taboos and fears surrounding these creatures. One prerequisite -- the reader must have a large enthusiasm for snakes.
