A JUNGLE PICNIC

Known for good books like Animals from Everywhere (1951), p. 98) and The Story of oah (1949, p. 603) Mr. Webb's individualistic talents have made another charmer- this time about a young brother and sister on a visit to their Uncle Guthrie, a road builder in Africa. Michael, the ""I"" of the story and Jennifer, are taken on a picnic by Sunday, a native boy. Before the day is over they have been thrilled by the most wonderful assortment of plants and animals. A pat narrative and the author's suggestively stylized pictures- in pleasing browns and aquas, bring out the humor.
